It's Alright to Send Them There

This is a thought that came during a presentation session for METHODS OF TEACHING MORAL EDUCATION II right before the holiday began. The presentation was on the responsibility towards our parents.

The Author is absolutely sure that all reader out there love their parents. Right?

Well, here's a question. It is not easy nor it is hard. OK. How would you show your love towards your parents?

Most would say....

"I show my love to my parents by helping them doing chores..."
"I show my love to my parents by taking care of my brothers and sisters..."
"I show my love to my parents by obeying whatever they asked..."

and the list goes on ... and on ... and on ...

(The Author is quite certain that most readers will agree with the said How-To-Love Parents thing above...)

Here is the thing in The Author's mind... REALLY?

What if The Author said he would show his love to his parents by sending them to the Old Folks Home? Why? Because they, when we were little, send us to the nursery.

Questions:

Is The Author not love his parents?
Is The Author a Anak Derhaka for doing so?
Is The Author ungrateful then?

Let us see the reason of saying so. First, The Author think that it is alright to send his parent to the old folks home because his parents send him to the nursery. Why do parents send their kids to the nursery? It is because they are busy working and nobody is taking care of their kids. The best solution, send the kids to a nursery. Everything will be taken care of ...

The same reason goes, when we grew up, we might be busy with our work that we don't have time for our parents. Sending them to the old folks home, at least, their needs are being taken care. At least, there is someone that can help us to look after them.

Understand how the thing works?

But, one most important thing, DON'T just send your parents and leave them there. Take them home... after all, it's not the matter of what. It's the matter of who. *smile*

So readers,

Which is better, to have your parents alone at home while you buy with your never ending works or sending your parents to the old folks home and have their need satisfied?

Your choice...
